Having seen Tran Tuan Viet's amazing photos in National Geographic of this scene from Hanoi's incense village, I was fascinated to know more about the behind-the-scenes photographic story. The intensity of the red almost exudes the aroma right from the page. And for Vietnamese Buddhists, the act of burning incense carries profound symbolic significance included in all ceremonies and important occasions. So when Viet graciously delivered us to share this spot with him, it was like walking onto a famous movie set, only the scent and the vibrance were incredibly real!
