Sunsets on East Lake are most often enjoyed to the west, but on this evening, the view to the east was the best light-show of all.

I particularly like landscape and travel photography to harness and freeze the “wow-moment” you get when you first approach a scene. I capture the moment for me alone, then enjoy the image’s power to share the scene with others, and hopefully give them an experience of their own. At the core of my being, I’m an artist. Not to be confused with a fine art painter like Monet, or my brilliantly talented mother, Diann Haist, but for as long as I can remember, I’ve been highly attuned to the beauty in almost everything and compelled to harness the emotions created on me to share them somehow, some way, with others.
