Description
The passageway through the Louvre to the Cour Carrée (Square Court), one of the palace's main courtyards. Interesting fact: long before the Louvre became the world's most famous museum, it was a Royal Palace for over 200 years until Louis XIV moved his court to Versailles in 1682. By demand, I've made this is the full-size version available for those who want large format prints. The other version on this site was cropped to a 4 x 5 format, this one is the full 4 x 6 format.
